Tirhut Vegetable Processing & Marketing Co-operative Union Limited is registered under Cooperative Societies Act, 1935 with registration no. 04/HQR/2019. With reference to the Bihar State Vegetable Processing & Marketing Scheme, initiated by Cooperative Department, Government of Bihar. In order to effectively implement this scheme, two unions have been created; one of them is Tirhut Vegetable Processing & Marketing Cooperative Union Limited.
Tirhut Vegetable functions limited to 5 districts of Bihar such as East Champaran, West Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Sheohar and Sitamarhi. Each Block is having one PVCS (Primary Vegetable Co-Operative Society). All together we are covering 85 Blocks in 5 Districts of Bihar. Every PVCS a group of vegetable producer farmers are the members of the society. Farmers can sell the produced vegetables to PVCS at better price compare to open market.
Our Main motive is to maximise the income of farmers. We will directly procure from farmers through PVCS and we will pay them through bank. Our aim is to maximise the vegetable production and reduce the wastage. We are going to setup the processing plant in the respective district.
